Remington Model 51 #PA47486 .380 ACPMade in 1924
This M51, made in 1924, remains in truly excellent condition. It has only slight edge wear on either side of the muzzle, and just a touch at the rear edges of the slide. These photos amplify every mark. The pistol looks much better in hand. In fact, it presents itself almost as new in the hand. The bore is not quite perfect, but it is almost so. It is bright and shiney, with sharp lands and grooves. There are no dark spots or streaks. In sum, though I wouldn't call this pistol "mint" it comes near. It is remarkable for an 88 year old pistol. I have stripped, inspected, cleaned, and properly lubricated this pistol. It is ready for another few generations of service. I had it to the range on October 14, 2012 and fired two magazine loads through it. It functioned flawlessly. This is the nicest M51 I have had in quite some time.
