Colt Woodsman Match Target, 2nd Series - #5034-S .22LR
6" Barrel
~ Made 1949 ~
This pistol is in excellent condition with only a few marks here and there. It appears to have been fired very little.
There is something very special about the early post-war Woodsman pistols. Build quality is unsurpassed. The early
Bakelite "Coltwood" grips are eye-catchers and feel great in the hand. They are solid; not hollow injection molded plastic.
This wonderful pistol displays all these qualities, and it is a Match Target!
Yes it has a few minor marks here and there. A rub on the left top of the slide above the inscription, a slight scratch in the
left barrel flute about midway down, very slight pinprick pitting at the front left of the muzzle, and some slight blue wear
to the safety lever. All can clearly be seen in the photos. And believe me, the photos are harsh. All these blemishes seem
to disappear when you hold this magical pistol in hand.
All original finish throughout - beautiful deep blue. Never messed with. The bore and chamber absolutely perfect - mirror bright
like the day it was made. The trigger pull is delightful. The pistol is very accurate.
To this day it stands as Colt's best effort in the context of a full-size target .22 pistol. They will never make another. This
pistol is rare. This is one I should keep.

This pistol has been stripped, cleaned, inspected, properly lubricated, and reassembled. I have had it to the range a couple of times. It is
superbly accurate and runs perfectly.
Life is short. Buy the gun.
Don't wait for another to come along.
This is not "spending." It's investing.
This Woodsman is 67 years old. You can enjoy it the rest of
your life and proudly hand it down to your kids or grandkids.
